Just thought I'd mention this, since you said you've been tempted to buy these for a while. The Vlad Taltos series is a lot like the Dresden files in a pure fantasy setting. 1st person, snarky wise-ass main character, magic, underdog, humor. Only thought of it because I was looking around for something to read now that I've finished Changes.

I have a Nook now so I don't have the bookstore issue. I already purchased book one of the series, I'm just finishing up the junk I'm reading before checking it out.
