$55.93 for just A Game of Thrones, $228.29 for the whole series. Apparently I can sign up to the service for $15 a month and get them cheaper, but no thanks.
This is why people pirate stuff.

i think the $15 a month service gives them to you for free but you can only download like 1 or 2 a month?
edit: and yeah that's why. i use audible to listen to clips to see if i can tolerate the reader and if i can, i just use an alternate method of acquisition.

I think that is true for some titles, but for Fire and Ice series it looked like it dropped the price to $8 each with 1 credit and free with 2 credits. Still not willing to sign up to a monthly payment for them.

honestly, if i enjoyed more narrators, i'd pay $15 a month for them. i just can't stand the way 99.999999999999% of them read and it ruins the book for me. the harry potter guy was good and spike doing dresden is good and i think that's about the only people i've found i can stand listening to.

56 dollars for an audio book? WTF? I haven't ever gotten into audio books, but that is just outrageous and I would never pay that much for any audio book.

The guy that does A Game of Thrones is good. Roy Dotrice or something.

Been a member of Audible for years, well worth the money! I have paid a mere fraction for the extensive library I have accumulated. If you are an audiobook fan, the only reason not to have a membership is if you didn't know. Now you know!
