why are the new nook covers so expensive? |
srsly? i think i paid like $25 for my original nook leather book type case and it's lasted a long ass time with zero problems. i'm looking at the new nook covers because i might upgrade since my buttons are totally breaking off on my current nook and some are like $60! the fk? i'm almost tempted to go look at the kindle touch. i'm sure amazon has better prices for it's accessories.

The cover prices are insane.
I bought the absolute most basic padded sleeve and it was like $20 for a $5 piece of fabric.
When I upgraded I decided to keep the new Nook at home and use the old one with its nice hard case for when I leave the house.

When I bought my Nook, first gen, I remember seeing covers from $20.00 to $80.00. I'm pretty sure I paid $20.00 or 30 for mine. It's a hard leather cover.

it's ridiculous.
and lol @ amazon's being $50 more for the same thing. who in their right mind would buy a kindle over a nook? they're the same size and do the same thing and one costs like 2/3rd of the price.

i didn't think to look at etsy. that's a good idea.
also, why the fk is the power button on the BACK of the new nooks!? jesus christ that's annoying.

on the back?? what  GENIUS thought up THAT one?? whoever it was, they need to be fired.
EDIT just thought- can't you hit the n on the middle bottom edge? on the nook color that also is a power button.
