Nolan's quote:
"I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters,†Nolan said.“My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. "
Which is so funny to me because, yeah, an ending, what a concept! Milking the cash cow is what makes film series and TV shows, even good ones, eventually run off their tracks. Although I did not like Begins, and only kind of liked The Dark Knight (just not a superhero movie guy, I guess), it's nice to see that Nolan gets this, and is using the clout TDK gave him for good.
Now, of course the series will be rebooted, but unlike what Raimi did with Spiderman, at least Nolan knows to give his arc closure.
