This has to be the spot to find the answer! Can anybody give me a lead on a webcam that comes with/has a TWAIN driver? I have some software that takes pictures of the people/items profiled and has to be TWAIN compliant. Can't use a cell phone. Thanks.

Man, I had a twain compliant web cam that I couldnt find a driver for and I threw it away about 6 months ago. The camera had to be over 4 years old. Is this software that old that it requires TWAIN to interact with a camera? I havent used a TWAIn complinat device in years and years.


I did find this thread that may have some useful information, maybe just not the exact application.

I have been looking and searching for a TWAIN webcam ever since you posted this thread.

I have noticed quite a few people looking for the same thing (Maybe its you all over the internet ) but all I keep coming up with are old theads from 2007 or later and all the relpies are either. go to ebay and find one (Canon A40 keeps coming up in the threads I read) or TWAIN just isnt used anymore as an API. Apparently DirectShow has replaced TWAIN as the webcam API commonly used.
