Well I just blindly update IE the other day to some new version.

It's really super annoying so far and I can't figure out if it's just me getting older and stupid or what.

They moved your favorites drop down to the right side of the page, sure you can push it over to the left with some arrow so you can see it like you normaly have for centuries, but you have to do this everytime.

In order to use Last pass I need to have an entire row just for it since I really dont have any other add on's. I just cant make a little button in the command bar or something. I could have swore it was there the other day but now I can't find it.

When I right click on say a forum thread to open it in a new tab I need to shoot up about a quarter of the page to get to "open in new tab"

I can't find a little search bar like it used to have. I guess you just search in side the adress bar. I know you could do that for years but I like havin the seperate box to search in.

It really is just an awkward upgrade so far. I really have always liked IE over all the others I know so many like FF and all , but I've always been happy. Maybe I might have to switch to chrome permanently.

I agree entirely. I made the mistake of upgrading when I didn't have any problems with the previous version, something I don't normally do, and while I have noticed a slight improvement in the speed/smoothness of one or two sites when accessed, that is more than offset by the tedium of having the Favourites list on the wrong side of the screen. Like you I haven't found a way yet of moving it permanently to the original side. I also dislike the new search layout.

I have had a universal dislike of IE since the days of netscape and the 486. I use plenty of MS products and even enjoy a few of them...but IE has forever been subpar in the quickly evolving world of internet browsers.

Frankly, I am as confused and frustrated by FireFox, Opera, and Chrome as others are of IE. I am an all-in-one kinda guy and IE fits that bill nicely. While I dont want to hijack this thread I wont expound any further.

IE works fine for me for the most part. I like the new look although they do seem to move things around like they continue to experience with the best layout.

The simple fact, (and it is a fact), is that IE leaves you more vulnerable to malware. That's all that matters to most of us who don't use it.

Yeah I'm not complaining about the new look. I like it and it does feel a bit "lighter" overall Just having problems with the layout I guess. Ill get used to it...

A friend has just found a fix for this. I claim no credit!

Right-click on the top bar (the one below the address line) and click on Menu Bar. Hey presto, Favourites are now back on the left side.

A fact?

Yea, these guys probably were either paid off, or made it all up.
