I have thought about this recently since I am giving my brother a desktop and he uses the Verizon Wireless Access card ( no other access where he lives ). Would the adapters work with that signal? I know laptops do and I figure the adapters should but I have never tried them.

It should work right?

Edit: Just noticed this was in the Console board.. I had both pages up at the same time. Could a mod move this to the PC board please. Thanks.

So no one has any experience with that?

Hmm.. I guess I will go off the assumption that it should work and try a cheaper adapter first.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Is it one of the old PCMCIA type of cards for a laptop? All the ones I know about now are USB/have a USB plugin cable and they won't need an adapter. You just plug them into the desktop and they'll work just like they do on a laptop.

If it's the PCMCIA type I'd highly suggest he upgrade to one of the newer ones. He'll get a better signal as well as updated tech.

If for some reason he doesn't want to upgrade then I'd suggest one of these:
