You can get in right away if you go with the prem service that is $5 and $9.
For those of you who don't know what Spotify is, it's like a hybrid of itunes/amazon mp3 and pandora.
Pretty much you can pick what songs you want to listen to, and make play lists... and it's free (with ads) and if you want to listen on your phone/tablet it's $5 a month. The service is huge in eruope, and it's finally here in america.
So far I'm impressed. Though my biggest complaint is that you must be exact in your search. For example I searched for Blink 182, and it just brought back some cover bands. I thought that they just weren't on there. Only to find out that their band name is "blink-182", I didn't have the dash so if didn't find it.
Other than that it's pretty nice.

Curious....Pandora is only $.99(monthly) after 40hours(monthly), does that service have anything like it aswell?

not the same service. You can download other peoples play lists, but they don't have 'stations' . It's like browsing someones huge mp3 collection and streaming it.

Not interested, because it requires a $10 a month subscription just to use it on mobile devices. Not sure why mobile users get punished while desktop users can have it (with ads) for free.

Pandora suits my needs and Slacker is an okay backup. I don't really feel the need for another product, especially one that I have to pay for.

I stand corrected, I thought I read on android market it needed the unlimited option, I went and looked againa nd I obviously mis readi t.
$10 is to much to listen online.
