How does this look to you techy folks? I know next to nothing about Routers, having used a crappy actiontec thing from Verizon for the last 3 + years.

Is dual band necessary? There is a cheaper, similar one without it. Wouldn't mind pocketing the difference. Budget is under $100 shipped. Thanks

FiOS? cause my sister had to have a router with both ethernet and coax hookups.

Nah, regular Brighthouse Cable. Even when I had FiOS I was only using a coax anyway.

The router seems perfectly adequate to me. As long as it doesn't completely suck or doesn't play nice with custom firmwares, it's fine.

Dual band is nice so that you can run n or b/g for capable devices, and a for older things. I do this in my house.
