Apple is suing Samsung for imitating it's design and looks with their tablets and phones.
However Samsung just proved that in the 1968 movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, they were clearly using similar thin tablets.

And those are clearly Android tablets being used, look at that wide screen ratio. Won't see that on an Apple or WebOS and they are way to big to be Blackberries.

Damn it! ... He's using the Chewbacca defense!
Kidding aside, it is true. Star Trek was inspiration for flip phones. There are probably dozens of examples of this. But I am still waiting for my lightsaber!!!
Apple took a hit recently with the fact that they altered the phones to look the same in photos and altered aspec ratio of Galaxy Tablet to look more like theirs.

In their creditability, they photoshoped a side by side picture of the galaxy tab and the ipad so it was the same height as the ipad. (the galaxy tab has a wider aspect ratio.)

But even at the correct aspect ratio, it still looks like the ipad... not that I agree they should be barred from selling it.

I used my mom's galaxy tab for a week while I was in san jose, and then I have been using my groups ipad1 the past 3 weeks (testing for enterprise use) and I found no similarities to make people think galaxy tabs were ipads.
That's the whole point of this, apple doesnt want people to think the galaxy tab is an ipad, but every tablet on the planet is shaped like that, it's nothing new.

Ironically it isn't physical appearances or even the looks of TouchWiz that has gotten the Galaxy phones banned in the Netherlands. The judge ruled that the Android Gallery's "method of scrolling" violates Apple's patent. This isn't even a Samsung app, but a native Google app.
I have no idea what this is about though. Maybe how both Android and iOS stack pictures in the same folder together in their gallery apps? *shrug* Google's scrolls horizontally though, Apple's vertically.
Samsung says they will replace the native Gallery app with something that doesn't violate Apple's "patent".
