The newest post is Hyper-V info, but all the other posts are there, and Steven is averaging about 1 every other day. Since we are about 6 days from the start of //BUILD (formerly known as PDC) I would expect it's to build more hype and start lots of dialogue about what is coming before a bigger reveal.
Hyper-V article - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2011/09/07/bringing-hyper-v-to-windows-8.aspx
Highlights:
- Windows 8 *client* allows for this
- requires newer AMD/Intel x64 chips which support SLAT (Second Level Address Translation) - think Core "i" series and newer
- SLAT allows for dynamic movement of RAM to whatever VM needs more or less on the fly
- requires 64-bit version of client and 4G of RAM
- supports 64 or 32 bit VM's
- need a license per VM O/S (obviously)
- Do not lose sleep state with host machine (VM's will be put into a saved state when sleep is triggered, then resume when host wakes).
