I should upgrade to Windows 7 one of these days. I'm still on XP. But I think Home Premium is all I need.

I haven't upgraded because I really need a whole new system. So I'm thinking when build my new system, I'll just get Windows 7 then.

$139 is absurd. Just sayin.

With the vendor lock-in that Microsoft gets from having all the non technical users on Windows is tremendous (who wants to retrain someone to use a different OS for office work?). They should be practically giving it away for home licenses IMO.

Oddly enough, if it was $50 for a license or $79 for 3 I'd probably buy a set every few years (XP, 7, not sure about 8). As it stands though, they get no money from me.
