I was reading the motherboard manual, and I came across Native Command Queing (NCQ). ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_Command_Queuing )
Is there any reason I should NOT utilize this feature?
Thank you!

Your title should be building question #5 NCQ
Probably not really needed, more server type stuff if I recall.

Is there a setting to toggle this feature that is independent of the IDE/AHCI/RAID toggle? I usually don't see this feature mentioned in a BIOS, since it's part of AHCI and RAID and just enabled by default with those modes.
You definitely want AHCI or RAID mode for the SATA controller. And if for some reason there is a separate option for NCQ, I'd probably turn that on too.

Not at all, NCQ is great, and allows the drive to faster access data that is often spread across the same platter. Without NCQ, a drive will find each piece of data independently, with NCQ, it has a rough map of where things are on the drive, and allows the head to find multiple pieces of data with a single platter revolution.

Long while back I remember reading that for desktop PCs it really did not yield anything major when comparing to servers. That is where largest benefit was.
