Ubuntu will soon be able to run on Android phones as a Linux desktop for when you connect a keyboard, mouse, and display to the phone. Android already uses a Linux kernel and Ubuntu will share that to make it a seamless experience. And you'll still be able to run your Android apps as well.
You'll need a phone with at least a dual core processor, 2GB of free storage space, and HDMI output (HDMI via MHL works too).
