Starting tomorrow all your Google search history will be combined with YouTube, Gmail, and other services for advertising purposes. But you can go log into Google and clear your search history to prevent this from being used with those other services. Though it sounds like the history is still kept for 18 months.

I search for so much bizarre crap on Google, I'm scared what people might think of me based on my search history. Haha.

There was quite a decent item about this on the BBC this morning, and I wouldn't be surprised if the EU takes legal action against Google as the privacy changes would appear to break European laws.


Personally I don't have any Google accounts so it doesn't affect me, but I doubt the story will go away.
