Google has decided to rename it's Android Market to Google Play. The Android Market started out as just apps for Android devices, then added Music, Movies, and Book, and those things don't even need Android. So the new Google Play tries to remove the confusion that it's not just for Android devices anymore.

For the most part is still looks like the same Google Market with a new name. But Google is promoting the new name by offering a bunch of 49 cent apps, 25 cent books and songs, and 1 dollar movie rentals.

Mission accomplished for one person in my office. The guy next to me (an apple guy) came in and asked if Ive seen this new google market. I explained to him that it's the android market with a new name to get people like you to know that it's not just for android.
