The AMD Radeon 7850 and 7870 have launched priced at $250 and $350. Beats it's Nvidia rivals the 570 and 560 Ti. Heck the 7870 seems to give the GTX 580 a run for it's money.

And since Nvidia's Kepler is not here yet, AMD can pretty much price these cards at whatever they like. Kinda crazy seeing a "mid range" type card price at $350 now. But then the 7970 is priced at $600, so things are moving up.

Was reading about cards earlier. They are not interested in fighting on price atm. I am still holding out for nvidia card and hope prices drop a little then. I will upgrade sometime within the next 3-4 months.

My 6870 still runs everything I throw at it smooth as silk.
I always skip one generation anyway (went from 4890 to 6870).
Call me when we have 8870

5870 here, and at 1920x1200 it still runs all on high quality. Seems like the 6- and 7-series have had only very marginal improvements over the 5-series.
I guess games are not pushing the hardware development anymore.

I have a 5670... time for an upgrade but i dont want to spend all the money on the new 7800/7900 series. I was thinking of upgrading to 6900 series or something. I would like to get a card <$200
