What would you buy now if spending $250 on a video card? GTX560 Ti or something else? Seems to me like stretching a bit for a 7850 is worth it.

How much did I spend on building the rest of the computer?

I'd lean more towards the 7850.

It's performance seems to be better in most games versus the 560 ti.
And the 2GB of video RAM may be more useful down the road if you keep the card a while.
Some complained the stock cooler is noise (seems most AMD stock coolers are), so I'd probably pick a 7850 with a custom dual fan cooler.

although the 560 ti would kickbutt im going with a 6870. i only have a single 23inch monitor so i dont need the power of the 560 ti as much and its about a 100 bucks less. If I was to spend around 250 I would get the 560 ti 448 or possible 7 series.

for me though, i dont see a reason to get more than a 6870 no more than what im using it for and type of monitor i have.

7850 - without hesitation. Or spend a bit more and get a 7870.
But I'd need a good reason to upgrade from my 6870 which I'm very satisfied of for now.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

You have a 580 right? I think the 7850 is actually slower than the 580.

They are not for me. I always go flat out #1 for my own equipment.

I just built 2 gaming machines for friends last week and put GTX560's in them, which I got for $220 Canadian each.

It then came to me after looking at the 7850 benchmarks that for $275, it may have been a better buy.

I wanted to post here for second opinions.
