The new OCZ Vertex 4 drive has arrived and it features an Indilinx Everest 2 controller.

The general consensus I got from the reviews is that it's potentially a very good performing SSD, but the firmware just isn't quite ready, leading to some issues like lower than normal sequential read performance in some tests. So it might be worth waiting a bit for better firmwares to come out before grabbing one. And OCZ tends to be a bit premature with their firmwares anyway, so probably good advise with any new OCZ SSD drive.

When I can buy the 240gb for less than $200 to make as my Main C drive, I will buy one.

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.
