During his 2008 campaign he pledged to uplift Detroit. We thought he was speaking about poverty, jobs, and blight.

However as 2008 was coming to an end, as was President Bush's administration, the Detroit Lions finished 0-16.

0-16.

2011 ends with the Lions winning 10 of their 16 games and the first half of their playoff game. Damn those 2nd halves.

So while there are fewer jobs, more crime, more homeless, more blight, and less hope, I have to call it the way it is and the Lions had a good year.
