Got my grandmother a 42" HDTV for her birthday today (85!). Her eyesight is not very good but I took care of that with a big universal remote. The problem though is with the TV itself. The channel indicator pop-up occupies maybe half a percent of total screen real estate, so she has to get right up on the TV to see what channel's she on. I figured, what with the insane amount of disability options available on PCs these days, surely there would be similar options to be found in the TV's menu system. Bupkis! They need to offer a broad range of customization, starting with the ability to increase the size of the channel indicator to take up the entire screen if you want it to.

Are there any universal remotes that have a screen built in that tells you what channel you're on? Simple ones, that is. I'm sure there's some Logitech Super Remote that does it but the last thing she needs is a billion more buttons.
