I highly recommend this one.
In the early 80's the US Navy had one of the most advanced and ingenious ways to test for leaks and stop terrorism at military installations. They not only disbanded it because it was making too many base commanders look like morons, but they also found a bull**** reason to incarcerate its founder.
As the commander of Red Cell, he purchased $10k worth of grenades through a fraudulent naval order, proving the security deficiency of the contractor. Rather than saying "thanks for the tip" they charged him with fraud and locked him up.

I had a dream. It was an incredible dream. When I awoke, I had a huge mess to clean up.
