TBH, the repubs should have stuck to this type of argument.
There should be no difference between birth control and, say, blood pressure pills or diabetes medications. The gov't should cover all or nothing.
But Obama knew he could bait the repubs into misogynistic woman-hating attacks vs. The Pill, thus justifying gov't coverage of all drugs. If Rush & friends had resisted the urge, we could have had a real debate on the role of gov't in health care. (which i remain ambivalent to overall. but if we cover any meds at all, we should cover the Pill because the costs of the Pill <<< the costs of a pregnancy brought to term.)
