Our rocket club is getting together to repair our launch equipment and it always takes much longer than it really needs to. We have some people in our club who are true scientific geniuses and most of them want to really think things through before they do anything. On the other end of the scale are the hands on types, many of whom are also very intelligent but they want to jump in and get things done. This is the only gathering I have been to where a 10 minute repair takes an hour of discussion and flat out argument to get to the final planning stage. And after 25 people and 8 hours of this when everything is all said and done 4 of us will go out next weekend and finish the work in 2 hours.
