the best talent leaves to go start their own company and that company makes awesome games even better than the old company used to?

Our country is at that point except the best and the brightest don't have anywhere else to go so they have to stay here and be led by idiots.

Actually I can't think of a good example of that. Usually when they leave to make their own studio the old studio goes into the crapper but the new studio is not as good as the old one was before it started sucking.
