I'm assuming the title was meant to be 'except', not 'accept'...in which case, it doesn't look like you read much of the article, as he was an undercover police officer running a sting operation. They don't tend to arrest the officer involved in a sting, as funny as that may seem to you. I don't imagine his racial/ethnic background played into that at all.
