Lookin forward to a 5-day holiday now...

Oh, and its 6pm, so I'm 10 minutes from sinking my first Kilkenny on pub night.

You do realize that the holiday, like most Christian holidays, is not historically Christian and was simply christianized because the people who were celebrating anyhow, right?

We work 4h at my current job the day before holidays, but I took a day vacation since I have company for a few days.

Well a kilkenny, a hoegaarden and a brooklyn ipa, good night!

Grimms attribution of the name "Ostern" or "Easter" to some old deity is criticized by modern linguists and may in fact be only the imaginary result of 19th century popular neo-paganism. While there were probably some kind of spring celebrations among the old Germanic tribes they have little to nothing to do with our modern Easter festival, which has its own traditions and is part of many other non-Germanic cultures from which we then adopted it.
