Hello!

After a fit of nostalgia I am considering reactivating and coming back to check on the world of AC. However, given how many years it's been I am facing some challenges.

First issue(s):
--I don't remember my account name.
--As if that were not enough, I no longer have access to the email address associated with the account. Pre-gmail days... gah!!

Lacking this info how could I proceed to reactive my account? It'd be nice to visit my much loved and much neglected 126 toon. I have miraculously found my old copy of the game and have at least one of the cd keys that was associated with one of my accounts. I have some hope that this, combined with perhaps answering some old billing info questions, would allow me to reclaim/reactivate my long lost character.

Second, and much smaller issue - I'm unable to access original forum account. Hopefully Murron can provide assistance with this as she asked for further info in another thread.

Or, is this all too much fuss and should I instead start from scratch with a free trial? I do remember how crazy it was to level 1-126 although I gather this is much faster now?

If you know enough info about your account, it is possible to retrieve it. It took a couple of weeks for Turbine to reset our old accounts (husband and I). You do have to pay for the service though and they will ask questions about the accounts

Hi again To try and get your old VN board name back, you need to contact Customer Service . I really do not know if it is possible after October 15, but they can tell you for certain I 'lost' my original board name back when they switched over 10 years ago...so I understand where you are coming from

What Daki said is true Many folks have gotten their accounts back that way.

Thanks. I have initiated the support requests with Turbine. They are being helpful so far. They found my toon/account and gave me a hint at my old zone name. Im currently waiting to hear back if I guessed correctly. From there, I have to send in another request to get them to integrate the old zone id into the new account system or some such.

As for the msg board account - thanks, I'll give that a shot. What was your name before the change? Murron1?
