While I wait apparently a couple weeks for my account to (hopefully) be found and migrated over - and since there's maybe 8 threads here from the past month - I figured I'd try to strike up a conversation.

Who all is with me here?

..I assume at this point AC is mostly old schoolers who are around for nostalgic reasons. Which is fine. That's why I'm tryin to get my account back, myself. AC was a big part of my life for a few years, I cant believe 7 or so years later I'm still thinkin' about it, so eff it, may as well log back and take a scroll! If I can remember how to do ANYTHING that is, heh.

What's the server population like these days? I saw a thread from Feb I think where someone said it was around 130, including bots and dual logging etc etc. Is it still around there? Does anyone happen to remember what it was back in 2002-2003? Just curious the change.

Are the diamond golems (is that what they were? You know, with the swarm of minions..) still the big thing? What about that dude that wandered the island with the chapel on it, that had the orb with the little dude inside it? Villas/Mansions still how people roll?

Any of the big names still around? Doin' the guild thing still? PVP?

Ok then. I'm getting carried away. I'll stop there and see if anyone bites.

Lively bunch we have here!

Well, amazingly they found and migrated my account just fine, and I installed it on a neighbors laptop and logged in to see what was left of the account. Everyone I guess is there, with very little stuff.

I ran around and tried to kill a couple things and was destroyed time and time again. This is after I spent 20 minutes trying to find my way out of the basement of a mansion I used to own. (with a mule, that's still stuck in the basement lol)

The only thing I've successfully killed is a rabbit outside a lifestone. HA. Level 129!

....came home, spent an hour getting it to run in wine. Bit buggy and made my comp suddenly log out within five minutes of playing. Guess I'll get a VB guest going to accomidate, maybe tomorrow.

Fun stuff, lots, and lots, to try to remember. I clearly don't remember much.

p.s. one of my mules was in a trade area - completely empty. I'm not sure I saw more than one other character in game the whole time!

I recently re-subbed myself. Had two account that had never been migrated from the old zoneID and it took them 8 days to answer but once the dialog started it was a matter of an hour or so for them to find my two accounts and migrate them (premium service cost $19.95 each but that included TOD and a free month so not too bad). They even supplied a zoneID hint to help me remember my old zoneID's lol.

Yep marketplace is totally vacant on leafcull. For me it was easy to hunt down a few hundred Diamond Golems for powder to get writs for a Villa. I figured that would be the easiest way being solo. Then I just opened a portal for the mules and got them there without issue.

Just re-subbed today. wow. I can't remember how to do anything. Looking for a patron who can show me the newer content. pst to Swift Killa on leafcull!

Definitely taking some remembering on my part....... and considering how little I get to play, this will take forever.

p.s. So the other day I was runnin around for my hour a day on it and said, "Whoa, a Chrystal Lord!" ..so I called over my neighbors 12 year old daughter who was on the other side of the room and was like "See, that's one of the things I was talking about! Here let me see if I can get it to pop up and .... hey what's this little fairy thing on me? ...oh."

She said "Impressive. What's that?"

"A lifestone."

Gettign to play a couple hours every three days is making it hard to play catch up! The only thing I can seem to get right is acquiring VP.



It is, however, fun to have people recognize you from back in the day! heh.
