Roaches are extremely beneficial when you broaden the scale of what they affect. Sure they infest but they also consume and destroy harmful bacteria. They all carry a wide variety of diseases just on the surface of their bodies as well as tracking it into a home. Bats on the other hand primarily stay outside because they need easy access to their hunting grounds come nightfall.
