With all this chicken little talk of the VN Board sky falling, it seemed pretty obvious that it would be the simplest thing to just start a new board that wasn't under the thumb of IGN.
I just registered DTBoard.com and set up phpbb on it. Set it up on it's own server so it should run quickly enough. Right now it's not skinned or anything so it's ugly as balls right now, but I'll have a designer skin it so it's not fugly.
I really don't care who posts on the board or what the fuck they actually post, the only rule is nothing illegal that will get it shut down (CP, etc) - there will be absolutely no moderation other than for that or obvious spam bots. I don't care what guild you're in, I just wanted to make sure there was a guild neutral place like VN for people to talk shit / do trades / etc on incase this board went down.
If you use it, great, if not, oh well I only wasted $10. If you do use/like it, I'd just appreciate feedback on anything to improve the boards (if you know of any good plugins that would help, etc). If it gains any traction, I'll continue covering the server costs myself, it's just on one of my extra servers.

I love reddit as much as the next guy, but I'd rather have a traditional board with the newest posts up top instead of things being shuffled by upvotes/downvotes and not completely on freshness and most recent post.

I'd also like to have 3-5 trusted DT community members as mods/admins - would be nice to have those chosen by a poll.
