No matter how many people are complaining about last nights event, the God powers of 1 hitting doors, endless massive pbae rez's, pbaoe wiping zergs, teleports, and relic snatching - last night was terrific to take a part in. Not only did it show that the Dev's are people too and add a rare flavor to the game, but it showed us that they know the problems occuring in this game.

Our Hibernian Dev was great. Not only was he openly role playing and warning us about the Ire of Albion (which he said consisted of hot air and 3x our numbers), and then explain to us that his job at Mythic is 'kicking-ass' and some other great one liners, but he showed a personable trait. Occassionally the Gods need to come down to show that they exist to the people, so we hold faith and believe in them.

All Dev's did the same thing last night for their side. I was nuked to hell by the Alb Dev alongside a good mass of my fellow Hibs, and I was destroyed by the Mid Dev with a good multitude of friends and I will not complain. It was a rare spark, and the last time I had so much fun was in Old Emain. Sure there was lag, what do you expect in an event with old timers whom returned (and I saw a lot of old inactive names last night all over), but what do you expect in a once in a decade occurance?

The people saying that Dev's should be playable normal chars are a joke. Yeah... let's have a cloth caster Dev face down yelling for heals and rez's... that'll give the Community Faith in them. If you show that a God can bleed, people will loose faith.. Didn't 300 teach you people anything?

I loved it.. and am thankful that Mythic actually showed the population they exist. Having our Hib Dev around sparked some fun and I know a lot more people loved it then those inactive forum spammers that are QQ'ing about it all over. Our Hib Dev was a pleasure in all chats last night and very very social. We will miss him, but he shall always be remembered - even if he may end up in the unemployment line for what he was doing (which he joked about last night).

Thanks !!!

The original poster is playing the same game as the rest of us - the difference is that he is not a whiner.

She. And yes, I’ve played this game in a beta phase, and have played since live. I have a LOT of chars in this game and perhaps more time dedicated to it and logged in than 97% of the people. I loved the event… some did some did not.. but “I” enjoyed the change up. The world needs a lil chaos once in a while to get things moving.. and judging from the number of people that were logged in that took advantage of the event… it worked and was great. I saw more old friends log in that night then I have in ages. I actually had a few happy tears from people I haven’t seen in over 4 years msg me on AIM saying they were logging in, some even forgot to spec their tool bars so were using the level 1 basic styles in battle haha. It was …. Great.

the lag was not that big of a deal really. ok it was unplayable for a few hours but lots of people in my guild had lots of fun because it simply was something different from the usual scirmishes
