If you enjoy playing your class and feel you have the experience to talk about it on a weekly basis, please consider this position.

The goal of each Mentor is to actively advocate for and seek improvements/changes to their respective class.

Commenting on Patch Notes.

Getting player Feedback on patch notes

Coming up with suggestions for your class and getting feedback from the posters.

State of the Class Report, every 4-6 weeks
Secondary responsibilities would be:

Contributing to discussions on the Class boards and Ywain.

Short descriptions of how you gamed that week. Strategies you used to find or win fights.

Assisting new and veteran players with the class and their questions.

At this point, the Thane, Bonedancer, Animist, Valewalker, Vampiir, Warden, Bard, Cleric, Heretic, Reaver, Mercenary, Theurgist, Wizard and Mauler are opened for applications!

Wouldn't a "mentor" be someone whose focus is on providing expert analysis of a class's current capabilities as a resource for more inexperienced players rather than someone who tries to gather feedback to enhance their respective class? Just a thought.

And what about classes that need to be reduced in power in order to bring about balance? Advocating for improvement when your class is already overpowered seems like the wrong idea.

That said, I've sent in my application, not that I expect a Gaheris player to get any real consideration.

Looking at some of the mentors, I can't say Gaheris would necessarily exclude you from the running.

You are playing with words here my dear Daamien.
You already know the answer to the question. Of course they provide analysis on their classes as a resource for new players. They are more than happy to answer any questions players have regarding the class - on their respective class boards for instance, on other boards such as Ywain, Mordred or Gaheris and in-game as well.

Gathering feedback is not simply about enhancing their own classes - you know as well as I do that some classes do not need enhancement. Consider the reports more like a state of the class report to those concerned.
However, I can say it is entirely normal that mentors they seek improvements on their respective class - they want their class to be better, not worse. It would be rather strange for a mentor to ask his own class to be nerfed, wouldn't it now?

We understand the concern about class balance, hence why discussions about ideas are more than welcome to filter any superfluous feedback.

I also welcome you to read the mentor columns where the mentor's main focus is primarily giving some sort of class resource database, tips and suggestions on how to improve the gameplay experience of our dear playerbase.

Of course we are more happy to receive feedback from everyone to improve our efficiency.
If you have any question on feedback, feel free to contact me and it would be my pleasure to assist.

Kind regards,
Eaderbreca
