Is there a jewelry (non armor slots) crafting mentor/Knight to help improve things in this area?

One thing I would like to add to the game is jewelry making (all non armor slots). It is hard to find what you need on a merchant and for lower levels, there are not many choices on the market explorer. Non armor slots can be just like armor, have a few various types that will let you SC certain values into them just like armor. There is already a jewelry icon I believe in the crafting window, just complete the process.

Hey Andy I see you posted on the Halloween thread today, how about some input on my topic? Any chance this can be added to the game?

Hahaha. haha. This has been in the game since SC'ing was added. Nothing's ever going to get added to it.

Hater...go away!!! You never know. Not everything in DAOC has to be about RVR. Tradeskills can be enjoyable (well not leveling them) and could be a good way to provide some spice to the game without alot of work. They can just copy one of the armor tables and change the names. Make them and SCing them could work the same way as armor.

This is never going to happen because

1) It would actually require real devs rather than having some intern tweak the stats on an old item like most of the changes they do since the game went into maintenance mode
2) They don't want to do it anyway because if you could craft and spellcraft jewelry, then who would bother to do all their gear grind campaigns and other pve that has jewelry items as rewards?

I don't think it's going to happen because it would take away from the items in the game. The whole idea of having all these items in the game is so that we have to work around them and everyone has the same playing field (to some extent).

Its no different then armor or weapons which you can grind and PVE for good ones that are not player made (ML10, Dragon stuff, etc.). And it would be open to all so as not to give anyone an unfair advantage. Again just like armor, if there are dropped jewelry items or quest items better then players can craft, then people will use those. Being able to make our own non armor items will just fill a hole in the game, again especially for lower level chars.

Requires to much work. At this stage of the game, anything labor intensive isn't going to happen. Plus it would break 36 other things that they'd have to go figure out how to fix. So it would end up setting us back anyways. I would love to see it added, but am smart enough to realize that it won't. If they do add it, please mock me mercilessly, for I will have deserved it.

Some work but the blueprint is all there. Take belt for example, just copy the cloth helm tables and replace "Helm" for "Belt". Make the AF 0 and you are done. You craft a belt same way you would do a helm. Then you just SC it with gems using same principals you would armor but maybe lower the total imbue points to half of armor or something. Not saying it won't require some coding work but the mechanics are already in the game. I don't see how it would affect any of the jewelry or non armor currently in the game, if its not better then dropped pieces then folks won't make or buy it.
