Which order do they check in, and can they stack?
For example:
We have 3 characters in this example
Fluffy the caster
Bighead the tank
Enemy
Bighead has bodyguard and guard on Fluffy. Enemy is trying to kill Fluffy.
Enemy swings at Fluffy, bodyguard blocks the hit, but if you placed guard on Fluffy, would (assuming that the theoretical block chance is successful) that block the hit via shield before bodyguard intercepted the attack?
Normal intercept does check after guard, but I have no idea on bodyguard.

AFAIK, the swing doesn't even happen.

Ya the enemy player will not be able to engage in melee combat with Fluffy while BG is on. Guard doesnt even matter.

If Fluffy is moving, guard covers him, since BG doesn't work. So make it a habit to swap both at once.

If Bighead is casting a spell then BG is temporarily off, too. Learned that one on my Warden the hard way.

Thanks, I haven't messed with bodyguard in forever, so I've completely forgotten how it works. Doesn't work in PvE, so wasn't of much use. Thanks everyone for clarification.

For maximum cheese you really need someone to run over and grapple the poor bastard who just discovered he has no way of causing damage to whoever you are bg'ing.
That way not only can the person do no damage to his target but he can't move either and you can kill him at your leisure.

My healer is named fluffyo so i can relate to this.
bodyguard will not go off if out of range and if guard is in range than it will cover instead.
useful if someone has to move back and forth through windows/holes and people are on on each side.
very limited use.
bg is all you need.
iirc you can have the guard on the person who is bg'ing you.

I'm just a geek about game mechanics, so I was curious about exactly how they fit together.
2nd question: Does guard block archers now? (I know shield users can block the hits directly, so I would guess guard does, but could someone test that / has tested it?)
