would this help a full aug bot at all....

or is it more for someone trying to get higher return from inferior buffs?

Yes it helps, even the best buffs can benefit from a little stat buff bonus. http://gaheris.net/p/buff_bonus_cap.html

%enhancement allows you to have a lower buff spec and a higher mend spec for helping out your realm mates. Pets are unaffected by buff caps, so if you have the time/inclination/insanity for it, make a bot for your pet toons with 25% enhancements and capped spec buff skills.

As mentioned above, buffs on pets don't cap.

On players specs cap at 93, bases at 62. If your spec level is up to the level of the buff (for bases), theres a 25% bonus. Specs get this bonus anyway. Under the level of the buffs it's a little bit lower than delve.


That makes things work like:

47 Aug Shaman Buffs Before any Buff Bonus:

69 Str/Con + 25% (or X 1.25) = 86

70 Dex/Qui + 25% = 87

44 Str (Lowest Base) + 25% = 55


Add 25% Buff Bonus:

86 Str/Con + 25% = 107 (14 overcap)

87 Str/Con + 25% = 108 (15 overcap)

55 Str + 25% = 68 (6 overcap)


For pets, more is always better. For players, you don't have to cap it, unless you run 38 Aug (not really a bot, but they can get damn close to cap).
