Traldor's Oracle staff....a few questions
|
I have some casting characters in Molvik and see many casters carrying a staff. When I asked I was told it was a "Traldor's Oracle" staff.I have learned it can be obtained in Atlantis and went to the Hall of Heroes there. Can someone detail EXACTLY who/how one can go about getting this staff.I understand you can buy the basic staff with glass.I have some....but have no idea who/how to proceed. Can a level 39 get glass in drops ?? Thanks in advance for your help.

You'll need to buy 4 items. First, you'll need to buy the artifact credit, which if you are standing at the doors to HoH, facing the giant portal, is the sphinx on the far right. It should be an item called "Traldor's Oracle credit". Buy that, hand it to the sphinx.
Next, you'll need to buy the scrolls. I have no idea what they're called, but someone else will know. Those will be on one of the two sphinxes in the middle.
Then you go find one of the Oceanus Scholars, talk to them, see if they will allow you to activate Traldor's Oracle. If it isn't a conversation option on that scholar, move to the next scholar. There are 3 of them for Oceanus.

1) The sphinx charges BPs for credit tokens. The guy near him charges glass for credit tokens. Regardless where you get the token from you give it to the sphinx. 2) Amazingly enough - and completely against the usual obscurity of ToA - the scrolls parts are called " Traldor's Oracle". However, once you combine them the resultant scroll is called " Completed Dichorotory's Dissertation". 3) Again, the scroll sphinx charges BPs, dude charges glass. But you do not give the scrolls to the sphinx; the artifact scholar will ask for them. 5) I don't think harpies drop glass (the easiest low level ToA monsters) so you will either need to get in a farming group, have a friend with BPs nearby, or buy the glass from someone's CM. 6) Just ask in /advice at the Hall of Heroes if you get confused. Peeps will help you out. 7) This space for rent.

You may also want to see if someone has the scrolls for sale on a CM, might be cheaper than buying them with glass.

Too true - that and Aten's Shield. But at least it starts you off with Acuity 15, Casting speed 5%.

Thought they changed that staff so that it levels as quickly at shades of mist?

Ya, but leveling shades of mist at the rate you gain xp at level 39 isn't exactly fast either.

I got the Traldor's encounter before I was 36 for my enchanter.
I got the staff as soon as I turned 36 and could activate.
I am now 39 for Molvik and the staff is still on level 1 almost to level 2
I sure hope it levels faster killing players then it did mobs.
My temp is incomplete till I get this staff to 10.

Harpies do drop glass, just fyi. They drop 10 at a time, and it feels like about 60% of the lowest level harpies drop it.
I killed them with my 38-41 arms to get my orion's belt and golm artifacts/scrolls/glass.
