OK..this is a rant....Don't read further if that bugs you.
I'm a long time player but away for a few years and recently returned.
I like the players who primarily play Alb and Hib.IMHO Mid players.....(no comment).Perhaps it's all the grey killing I have experienced at the hands of Mid players.Yes I am speaking as if there were actually realms(and of course there are not).
I am by nature a solo player(and far too independent by nature).I've had so many sorry group experiences that played into my solo/independent mindset that I mainly play solo. Many Albs play solo(not all...many).Since the game has been around so long..I feel the players in the game are either what I call "professional" players... twinked to the max,use vent and know all the tricks, and use them... mixed with some few returning players who are re-trying the game and are relearning/re-equipping.

There are some really helpful high level players I have experienced in the Alb and Hibernian realms.Hib players seem FAR more communicative than the Alb...by far, and that's refreshing(they will actually take time to answer questions posed when you /advice.In Molvik there is actual ongoing realm chat about events). The game could well be enjoyable at the 50 level but I'm not sure I want to spend the time to find out(I have countless 50's and 39's from previous sojourns into the game, but felt I should relearn the game in it's current tattered state.

Perhaps just running in stealther groups(which I have done in the past and were great fun) is the answer.Perhaps playing a Hib class.Perhaps focusing on the remains of the college football season and the start of college basketball season are answers(and not paying $15, for a less than satisfactory experience). And yes I'm counting the days until I get a "RIFT" beta invite.

(I'm listening to my wife(who insists on playing alb) defend the Molvik CK.Think I'll grab my Scout and kill some Mids)since my subscription is payed until early December)

I don't see your point either.

I will just say that most guilds/friends have a pre-made Molvik GG to fall back on when they feel like it. I'd never go there and PuG myself.

I will say Molvik has always been the best RvR, IMO, in DAoC since NF. Great map.
