I'm giving DAoC another run after a long, long absence (dl'ing as I type this). I think LotM had been out about a month when I left the game. From reading the forums here I can see a lot has changed ... and lot of stuff will never change

Since I can't remember my old account names (never thought I'd be back honestly), I'll be starting fresh; has much really changed for characters first starting out?

And secondly, which realm on Ywain is considered the underdog? I'll play the class types I enjoy, but I'd much rather play in the underdog/underpopulated realm. I've played pretty extensively in all 3 in the past, so whichever realm fits that criteria is fine.

In my opinion, Hib is the underog. Alb is the zergiest. Leveling now is super easy. You can join a rassa group in toa to get powerleveled, or if you rather learn your class and not in a big rush, I recommend leveling thru the battlegrounds. EXP is fast, plus they have kill quests in there all the way thru thid. Plus, you are rewarded with aurulite, which you can buy armor with right there in the bg. So many other things, but hope that is a good start for you, and best of luck.

The bg xp thing up to Wilton is crazy fast and the auralite is handy for getting items along the way with a merch in the pk selling auralite items. Leveling is a trivial pursuit these days.

If you have the same email address mythic should be able to retrieve your old account name/s. I did this a while back and it worked fine, also should be able to get your password, or a new one sent to you.
