Wife and I just resubbed last night, and had a good time shaking out the cobwebs with out little hib characters.
But!
Wtf happened to zooming the camera? I remember being able to use my mouse's scroll wheel - or even the up and down keys - to do so. I'm guessing whatever key needs to be bound to 'pan camera' in the keyboard options, but nothing I've bound to that command works. Nor has anything else I've tried in or out of game.
Not being able to zoom the camera is the suck
I know I'm probably missing something very basic, but it would be a deal breaker if that function was actually gone.
Any advice or help with this would be super appreciated, thanks.

hold down the pan button then use the mouse wheel to adjust
if that doesn't work that i don't know, i never goofed around with my camera settings other than the binds so i would assume those are default.

This. Also use the "/setcamera" command to change the default position of the camera (aka the position the camera jumps back to when you hit the reset button.

Thanks Pow; gave that a whirl and can at least zoom out, but only by using the down key. Up key won't allow me to zoom in, however. And the mouse wheel is totally inoperative in-game. Really bizarre; it's a Logitech MX 518 that's never failed to work with any game or app.
And I had remembered /setcamera, which at least makes what I have now for zooming tolerable.
Thanks for replies guys, and if anyone else has something to chime in with, feel free!

Use the mouselook and mouse pan controls, not the other pan thing that only works with the keyboard.
Should be set as standard to left and right click.

Thanks slajzer, that does the trick Though I gotta admit I don't get why it doesn't work like it did years ago: fire up the game and zoom to your heart's content. Oh well, long as it works!

Don't forget to turn off the WoW option "snapback"... has no use in a PvP game where camera control is king!

Try pressing he Right Mouse Button, and while holding it down, move the wheel
I have no idea why it is working like this, but its the same thing if you try to bind for expample Auto Run on the wheel click, I gotta right click and then press middle wheel button (while still holding right click).
Hope it helps

^^ Never had that happennd to me. I used to pan on mouse 3 (wheel click) and everything worked as it should.
You've probably got some odd setting activated in your mouse drivers or something.
