Ok, I have all 3 realms on the same Ywain server.


The issue I am having (as well as many others) is that.. for example:


I am logged into my Sorc on Ywain1, but then when I switch to Ywain2 to check my Armsman which is the same realm I have to wait 5 minutes?

This is becoming very irritating and making my group to wait for me when I switch. Sometimes they even replace me with someone else.

I suggest if it cannot be fixed just remove it all together. Either way its causing more problems than fixing them.

Have had the same issue. When was the last time Mythic touched this game without causing a secondary problem?

alt-ctrl-del, end task game.dll poof no realm timer at all even if your switching to hib or mid...

its lame thing to have to do, but its a solution untill or IF mythic ever fixes the problem.

This does not always work. I have tried this a few times and still got the dumb timer, but I am trying to switch to the SAME realm except different Ywain server.

Realm Switching has been a problem for MANY years actually, i had this problem 3 years ago when mythic had a realm timer. Switch from alb to alb, 5 minutes! At the time i had mids and hibs on classic and gawaine so it wasn't a realm problem. Only when switching from realm to same realm.

Using the Ctrl - Alt - Del method is a forced LD so to speak, so you have to wait till your toon actually leaves the game world before you can log back in. This could be a minute or so, but still considerably shorter than the 5 minute log timer. But yeah the problem you are having should be fixed.

Stay on the same toon and, quit switching realms you noobs...

P.S. they make drugs for short attention spans

It wasn't a game breaker for me but it's been like this since the start of clustering and I doubt it will ever get fixed. Be happy it's only 5 minutes and not what it was at first. If your group is dumping you for having to wait 5 minutes I doubt it's actually the wait.

I dide use Ctrl Alt Delete, hit game.dll and hit end process. I waited at least a minute and a half before using the quick login for the new character. After putting in my login ID & Pass .. I got up to the end of the first loading screen only to see "ou cannot switch between realms for another 4 minutes."


So I do not see how this fixes it?





I agree that 5 mins is not long, but given the right senario (I am playing mid, Albs are about to take Blendrake and the group I am in... is waiting at Glen for me. 5 mins is an eternity to try to defend.) I'm not saying I would switch out toons that stupidly, just saying sometimes when you go LD you get the 5 minute timer. Thus being left behind as they rush off to defend.

You'd think Mythic would of realized that Realm Timers are nothing but an inconvenience. I guarantee there are 5x's the people that get pissed off about realm timers than there are of people that feel realm timers actually do a damn thing. Realm timers aren't going to stop me when they are so easy to get around.
