Started playing daoc again after about 5 years, unfortunately I cant get my orig acct back because I dont remember my 10+ year old no hint secret question =( Anyways, I'm looking for an active Pvp Clan, preferably albion (will consider others) and on the ywain servers. I have some mid lvl characters and would enjoy some rassa or decent powerleveling so I can jump into RvR. Thanks in advance

Try to Level up with people around your level it is VERY uncommon that you will get a PL group without a 50 to help out the PL group.

My situation is like the OP's, no access to my old characters and so restarting from scratch. I going the underdog route on Hib and I'm tempted at times to ask around in /region chat about guilds, but leveling is so unbelievably easy now the big problem is affording the gear that you'll need to be competitive with all the longtime players. So, for me anyway, the very real problem has been getting enough aurulite for decent gear while leveling and making enough coin that I can get all the trade skills up to a useful level.

Anyhoo, good luck to the OP. I don't think you'll find it hard to level even if you don't find a guild willing to PL you, xp is so incredibly easy to come by it's nuts. The plat for all the good RvR gear is another story. Of course it'll come with time, but it sounds like the "time" part is something you'd rather skip

My recommendation if you are fine with aurulite gear and leveling the 'classic' way (i.e., grinding)....

For levels below 20, you will run through gear quick because you level so fast.

Do your Epic quest line, which is given to you from one of your two trainers in your capitol city, along with a free chestpiece/robe and weapon every 5 levels from 10 (or 15?) to 25.

At level 10, before you ding 15, do the Saving Zarees quest for your realm. That hat reward is really good thing to have!

Do all the quests for armor in the tutorial and the other XP quests. They give good XP with a minimum of monster killing/grinding.

Do the kill quests in the battlegrounds for your level (which you could start at level 5 or 10, dont remember) and buy the aurulite gear the NPC in there will sell to you with the aurulite the quests reward you with.

Spend time in Thidranki, doing the quests in there as well for the aurulite. If you are desperate for aurulite, you could even /xp off to keep doing the quests.

Do the battleground quests untill they no longer offer them, then find a nice mainland aurulite dungeon to grind away in. As you go to higher AWs (Adventure Wings, Mythic's name for the instanced aurulite dungeons), the aurulite will drop in bigger increments.

Once you get to level 40, you can start doing the repeatable quests. In Alb its called Dousing the Flames, sometimes abbreviated DtF. Also, talk to the Arbiter in the Ruins of Atlantis (different name in Mid/Hib?) to begin the path for your Master Levels.

At this point, you will find alot more people in fewer areas who are leveling outside of powerleveling. Doing some of the Artifact/ML encounters will help save on Atlantean Glass, the currency you can use to BUY your way through artifacts/ master levels. Do the easier encounters to save glass, and you can start farming it at around 35ish from some of the middle islands in Oceanus Hesperos, the starting zone in ToA.

You can also begin farming Dragon Scales in a couple different zones to help you be able to buy your Dragonslayer armor. Slayer armor is better than the Epic gear, but you can get your Epic suit at level 45. You cannot get your slayer gear till either 49 or 50.

===

Another tip, at level 30 get the artifact Oriens Belt. Once leveled to 5, it gives a 5% bonus to ALL xp earned, and will even help at level 50 to get Champion XP.

Just my recommendations based on your desire to get aurulite. You have several other ways to level and tons of places to do it in. Good luck, and see you in game!
