My son has been bothering me to play WoW, andI never really liked that game. But I used to love DAoC. I downloaded the trial. I barely remember anything about the game! My main question is: is there any point in coming back? I mean will I be able to RvR, or is everyone so powerful that I won't be able to do any good?

Also, if you guys have any tips for a new player in this game with no money/loot/friends, I'd be happy to hear them!

I'd say its worth it. It isn't too hard getting to 50, and getting the gear youneed also isn't too bad. It just requirs a little bit of time. Artifacts, of course you have to level them. They aren't like they were back in the day that you had to level on certain mobs or during the night/day. You can kill anything and get XP for your artifact, including RVR.

Also, money comes quick, crafting is faster, although still slow compared to most other games. However crafting in DAOC generally has a much bigger impact on your character than most other games.
