After all this the macro group is still playing sounds like a confession to me and need to be banned for violating the DAOC rules and conduct.

"And second, with the addition of our newest tradeskills, we're seeing an
upsurge in macroing. If you'll take a quick glance at our rules of conduct,
you'll see that macroing is specifically prohibited. Furthermore, macroing
is just plain unfair to all the crafters who are legitimately playing the
game. So, we're going to be even more aggressive than usual about tracking
down cheaters, and taking away their unfair advantage over honest players.

Macroing is using any program, hack, tool, or piece of equipment to skill
up, or in any way gain an advantage over people who are using the "normal"
playing tools. Yes, this includes the "pecking bird" devices people set up
or wedge onto their keyboards (also known as dime macroing), so that they
can skill up while AFK. The penalty for being caught macroing is listed in
the rules as flat out banning. I wanted to let you guys know now, though,
that the penalties may also include suspension, the removal of your
tradeskill points, or anything else Mythic decides is appropriate. We just
want to keep it fair."

There is a spot in galpen by the water where at any given time you will find 1-3 bonedancers killing mobs for hours on end using macro programs to heal and rebuff. Well I thought nothing of it and used my BD one night and set a macro to rebuff and throw a pet heal every now and then and lo and behold i could not log in the next day and when i checked my email I found that I was banned for 5 days for using a macro program. Well this blows my mind after seeing the macro farmers in Trollhiem killing NOS, the ones in Dracolitch den and the ever popular Hib Macro groups in Celestius every night from Midnight till 8am eastern. They very obviously and bluntly use macro programs to move multiple characters at once and I report them every single time i see them and nothing is ever done. I have played on Albion and Midgard and every ML10 raid at night ends with " Well we better be leaving because the Macro group will be here soon" It is so much BS that they are allowed to continue doing this. Everyone says " Well it is thier 8-24 accounts versus your 1 account, so you know they do not want to lose all that money" that logic might be somewhat sound but then again do you think they will stop making real life cash for in game plat because of a 5 day ban? Heck no, they will get more accounts and EA will make even more money. heck ban them outright and they will still get more accounts as long as they make some cash. Life is not fair i know but i will continue to appeal every time i see a macro group getting away with what others can not and I will get my customary canned reply...thank you, we are currently investgating this issue...yadda yadda.
