sorry for noob question, i was wondering before i start back up this sunday is Ywain the most popu server of them all? or is it the only real server left?

It is the only cluster left.

So is there atleast decent amount of people on since it is the last cluster through out the day night?

Not quite right...there is still Glamorgan Cluster and PVM Server+ PvP Server...makes round about 4 Server/Cluster left.

Just to clarify so as to not confuse the OP, the Glamorgan Cluster is an EU server/cluster.



The old US servers have been archived. Your old characters exist (and the old/archived servers exist) but only so that you can log into the old/archived servers and set up transfers of your old/archived characters to the Ywain cluster.


There are 10 Ywain servers but it is essentially one server. There are two reasons Mythic created multiple (10) servers (Ywain 1-10) in the new cluster.


1) Housing. Instead of adding housing zones Mythic created extra servers and each server has a housing zone.


2) Characters/Alts. Many players had more that 10 characters on the old servers, and a realm on a server can only have 10 characters. By having 10 Ywain servers a player can transfer up to 100 characters per realm (10 per each Ywain server) from the old servers to the new servers.

Ywain is the only "real" server left...I talk with Euros and Mordred peep.s all the time, and they mention it'd be nice to transfer to Ywain since their server is essentially dead, but instead they have to re-roll fresh, a PITA for them.

The action on Ywain is pretty good. Pretty busy generally. Weekend RvR is pretty ugly, it's so zergy/assjammy out, but really when has that NOT been the case? =P

In such cases the best course of action is to get a free trial. There is usally one advertised - or e-mail Mythic and tell them you would like to try it out again.


That way you can decide how 'busy' things are; and how busy they are when you play. East Coast / West Coast / night shift etc.


Relatively speaking the game is 'pretty quite' even with only the one server. That is not to say it is dead but if you are looking for an array of guilds with 100+ people .... yes .....
