I've just recently came back to DAoC after several years. I made a new toon and finally got it to 50 and started working on Champion quests. I am now on the level 50 Inferno quest and it seems no one does the Co5 raid anymore (at least not in my alliance/guild. I am looking for anyone who can give me some information about it. There really isn't much on the net. I know it gives good CLXP if not much anything else (not sure if the drops are still good). Since I am the one who wanted to get some groups going for the quest I am now in charge of the raid. I was always just the noob who ran with everyone else on these big raids so I am clueless lol Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx!!

The Co5 encounters are group credit as far as I know. We took 2 full groups down and had 1 group clear adds/spawns and 1 group on main mob.
Then vise versa. Respawn is fairly quick. As far as drops, dont think many use them now.

AFAIK people don't need Co5 credit to get CL10 or the CL5 champ wep and secondary proc. Most people just kill enough mobs for the required CLXP for CL10. Nothing wrong with doing the quests if thats your thing, but it's not mandatory, and most just see it as more useless pve.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it could happen with just two groups since I prob will not be able to find too many ppl. I am aware that Co5 is not required now to get to CL10 but I miss the big raids of the old days. But if it falls thru at least I can just keep working on my clxp. It seems now everyone mostly cares about the RvR which is something I am still trying to get better at Right now PvP is what I enjoy till I get back in the groove of the game. Anyways, thanks again!!

Do be wary of taking pets into Co5 (other than stationary ones, of course). There are some places where your pet will take off for the far side of the dungeon, bringing back lots of new friends

You may need to go to the archived forum threads to find old Co5 info. Like the following:

Only the last boss of co5 is instanced, hence can only be done with 1 full group.. if I remember correctly, you had to kill him a couple of times as he took on the ghostly shape of the previous bosses down from co5 that you killed.. just be quick on curing his DoT and you should do ok... tank down in the pit.. rest up on the hill.. keeping LoS is about the only thing that's really hard in there.

Don't really remember anything special from the other co5 bosses... if you have 100 people it all doesn't matter, since it's just zerg down the mob.. stuff only becomes challenging if you have just 1-2 groups.. but since you're doing the PvE (which isn't required at all), I guess you're doing it for the challenge anyway.

As for drops.. each boss drops a one time item.. last boss drops a necklace.. none of which is used anymore for templates. (hence why nobody bothers with it... it's not that people like the PvE, people just do it since it was/is the only way to obtain something needed for PvP.. it's the boring part to get to the good part)

They also drop trophies.. which I think can only be obtained that way..

Did Co5 about a week and a half ago. It was a lot of fun. We had probably 11 people, maybe 13. It was not too difficult. I think one person died on the first boss because of uncoordinated first attack, but otherwise no deaths. We also did azazel afterwards. The big reason to do it is for the insanely fast champ xp. Got 4 levels on both parts. The drops aren't good, but the loot that drops is worth good money so if you do it and run out of places in your bag, drop/destroy the stuff that isn't stackable gems. You wont regret it when you go to sell.

The five bosses are pretty basic. Kill red minions first and then boss. Choose a side to position healers, casters. Bring font of power if you can, but not a must for the co5. Definitely a good idea to have it though on azazel as that is a pretty long battle. Getting there is the most difficult part. Stay to the right of the narrow hall or you pull a bunch of adds. Once you kill baby Legion, zone into the instance. Kill reds around his "pad" first. Then attack him. Have healers as far away as possible. When he spawns a ghost mob, it will go for healers probably. So tanks have to be ready to pull off azazel and hit the spawns whenever they pop. But you just repeat the same drill 5 times and he falls. Co5 are def more fun than azazel.

Lots of champ xp. I def recommend doing it if you're interested in champ levels. Took a couple hours total I'd say.

If your main reason for doing Co5 is the CLxp, you'd be better off doing the Emissary quests through Laby.
