after reinstalling a pc is it possible to somehow copy the settings for quickbars from one pc to the reinstalled one? if so how? tried the usuall copy-past procedure and zip qbars all empty uiwindows all over the place, etc...

Someone made a program for this, DAOC chat fixer... but I dunno how to make it work from different PC's. I thought just copying the .ini files or something was supposed to do it.
In my opinion, this should be included in a future patch. Every character should be able to save 4-5 quickbar configurations online, not in their console. Also, you should have a few options for the layout of everything on your screen..

Email me and i will send you the chat fixer, had to take the site offline for cost reasons!
it doesn't copy from one pc to the other, but will help save setups, and fix the craptastic chat boxes and stuff

If you are just trying to get your old qbars and windows and such into the folder that the game currently uses, here is a link to where the files should be found at. Hope you saved the old folder with the .ini files before you wiped your PC!

Here is a link to a program that was used heavily during the Ywain xfers to copy your old ini files to the new naming system, plus there is more utility like saving chat windows between toons. This is the file EXP is referring to above. I dont know how much more updated it became.

that zip file is only 2.30mb the current one is 2.88 MB
the extra size is the ywain character copier
I need to get NSaney to host the file on his site!

Any update to Chat/Character Fixer being hosted? I'm starting a new website for my guilds and would love to be able to link to it. If it's not currently hosted somewhere, I could toss it on our website once I get it published...should be in the next week or so, I'm hoping.
