Great set of instructions for a returning player. It should be a sticky on the VN boards.

Some corrections/additions/suggestions.

Suggested Addition:

All old accounts have been upgraded (free upgrade) to LotM. LotM is used by all players and is free to install (the Xpac does not need to be purchased, just download and install). The game engines for TOA, SI, etc . . . are no longer supported. (edit: the Herald game download/installer includes LotM).

There is no need to purchase the game. Once the game is installed, just pay the subscription fee and play.

(Suggest that you add the Herald link for the "Archived Server Transfers" info page.)

Suggested Corrections:

”Please note: All old accounts have a free 10 day initial return bonus.”

Old accounts that have not used the 10 day free “come back to Camelot” offer have a free 10 days available. If you once used a “Come Back to Camelot” offer you may have a new free 10 days available and should check it out to be sure.

”Your house will only be there if you had enough money to cover rent, otherwise you can get any vault items back from the housing repossession merchants when you've transferred.

Your home may still exist but if your account was closed for longer than 90 days chances are your home was repossessed. At one time Mythic allowed an infinite number of weeks (rent) to be paid from the cash on the CM but that was changed and the homes of closed accounts were repossessed even when enough plat existed on the CM.

The repo procedure for closed accounts is different than the repo procedure for a home repoed due to lack of rent. If your home was repoed due to lack of rent the only thing available on the banker NPC will be the contents of your vaults and the items on the CM. If your home was repoed because of a canceled account then almost everything (bind stone, vaults, CM, home deed, crafting tables, trophies, Plat that was on the CM, etc. . . ) is on a Banker NPC.

Guild home: As long as there was plat on the CM to pay rent for a guild home the guild home should still exist on the old archived server. Guild homes are not repoed due to a closed account. Guild homes will only have been repoed if the rent was not paid.

”Transferring Your Character (Classic Servers)

Important: If you are a GM, you must transfer your guild BEFORE you transfer your character."

There is a problem transferring a guild home if the GM also owns a personal home. When a character is transferred to Ywain the database will only transfer one home per character. If a character owns a home and owns a guild home, if the character transfers to Ywain only the guild home transfers and the personal home vanishes from the database.

If a character owns a guild home and the character also has a personal home, before the character is transferred to Ywain the player must transfer the guild home to a character that does not own a home and use that other character to transfer the guild home over to Ywain.

The procedure to transfer a character form a Classic server (Lamorak, Ector or Gareth) has one difference than the normal servers. Mythic has given Classic players free ML5 credit (including experience per ML) and a couple of free items to aid in the transition from Classic to Normal through a simple quest. You won't be allowed transfer your character until you have completed these quests.”

Level 50 characters on the Classic servers are given free ML5 credit tokens before transferring from the classic server to Ywain. If the Classic character is not level 50 then no ML5 credit quest is available.

For more information about transferring characters to Ywain see the Herald information page “Archived Server Transfers” http://www.camelotherald.com/section.php?id=47
