Download Game? |
So...as crazy as this sounds, I've been thinking of coming back to the game lately.
I've moved since I last played, and I've had to re-image my computer since then too, so I have no discs or game available. I've been trying to find something available for download so I can patch and I can't find anything. Does anyone know how to download the client to patch up to current so they can play?
The http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/trial/ site and the download site just time out. I found a SI client on download.com and also on cnet.com which all give me errors, I assume they're pointing to servers which are no longer online.
Been trying for two nights now (I know, crazy) and I'd like to be able to get in!
Any help appreciated, thanks! |

Just try this out
http://l3-cdn2.nap.eamythic.com/daocpatch/installer/DAoCSetup.exe
it will download + patch itself with launcher ! |

Same thing with that link. It just times out on me. I've tried turning my firewall off, and I've also tried it in safe mode with networking, and also on both browsers (IE and Firefox). Is it possible it is down right now (The server that is)?

Edit....
Was finally able to get it downloaded with by disabling Windows firewall too.
Now I am getting a compatibility error. Is this a known issue?

Resolved my issue. Even though it downloads as an .exe I was able to extract the files. Seems there is a hidden setup.exe within the .exe file and when it was ran I was able to get the files going.
Hopefully I'll be able to get into game tomorrow.

I have all of this running on a new Insignia 32in 1080P HDTV I just purchased as well. So needless to say its overkill for DAoC lol. I used to work on the road, so I've been gaming on a laptop since 2006, I figured I owed myself something nice. Going to have to download the game again, but it should rock in this get up.
