Hey guys, I'm just coming back to the game and doing so on a new computer. I have a lot of characters so I was wondering if anyone knew where the character ui settings are stored? Was wondering if I could just go to that folder and change the name of the file I set up for one character, to work with all. Would save a load of time. I figure I'll still have to set up their bars, but it'll still be very very helpful, thanks!

Look at my Signature!

I create a Character, Fixer, Copier, etc... in 2008 to do just this!

It's hosted on Nsaneys Site, it's free and has been downloaded over 15,000 times so far.

Use it it works!

Edit: This is straight from Nsaney's Site:

DAoC Chat Fixer / Character Fixer: 11-28-10 - Nsaney

Exp asked me to host his chat / character fixer thingymabob. It's great for syncing all of your toons with the same window positions, quick bars and all that good stuff... You can find the program on the downloads page of just click on the direct link to the awesome, handy little software tool right here.

The above listed Fixer is great for moving character settings.

Below is from the DAoC support pages and shows the location of the actual files:

DAoC support posted:

In order to better support Windows Vista, we have changed the locations of some files used by the client.

Please note the new updated locations for these files (the old locations may still contain copies of these files, but they are old and no longer updated by the game client so do not use them for backup/restore purposes):

The user.dat and character.ini/.ign files can now be found in the following location:

Windows XP, Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition:

• C:\Documents and Settings\<windows login name>\Application Data\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\<LotM or TOA or etc.>\

Vista:

• C:\Users\<windows login name>\AppData\Roaming\electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\<LotM or TOA or etc.>\

Note: The “Application Data??? folder for XP and earlier, and the “AppData??? folder for Vista, are hidden folders.

The debug.log, errorlog.txt and your screenshots can now be found in the following location:

Windows XP, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows 95

• Cocuments and Settings<User>My DocumentsElectronic ArtsDark Age of Camelot

Windows Vista

• C:Users<User>DocumentsElectronic ArtsDark Age of Camelot
